I like any music that has integrity and meaning, and I'm down with performing/writing in any style from folk to atonality if it has those two things. Btw, my friend that approached me for this project would most likely agree with your views on Capitalism. He wrote on his latest post via Instagram: "There are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation out here about Unions and the need for unions in our capitalist society."
And regarding your reply on "Collapse" about "the end" of it all, you said to pray that there still will be a future for my kids. A future is not what I pray about, because with my worldview, there will always be. Not what we will imagine it to be, nor the world as we know it to be now. I pray that no matter how long any of us will continue to be here, that we live a meaningful, kind, and decent life. To live with the heart of Christ. And the life of Christ teaches us how to suffer. Christianity is not some capitalistic/prosperity driven lifestyle. Point being, fear is not the response to the collapse of society.

Your pal Chase, being part of Chicago history, probably very well understood the struggle of labor movement in the fight for better future. He's a good person like you, understanding how the society work. I'm too a unioner. While I don't talk about my IRL stuff a lot on NG, I've been giving some hints here and there in music and those edgy post, haha. But yeah, I'm a Wobbly, and community organizer. I started out early in high school with student organizing against gentrification in the hoods of Toronto. When Occupy happened I decided that I have worked enough for The Man and started to help out with the people. It's a long history I've hidden about my time in the labor, left and radical scene.
What Chase says if it wasn't for his union, he wouldn't be able to put this music project together and live a decent life. If it was up to Corporate America, he may as well struggle to make ends meet as the common folk already struggles to do. I've been really enjoying the OK Boomer meme as of late, because I've always felt the generations before us got too greedy and left us scraps to fight over. I've worked for a mortgage company in the past making minimum wage for 5 years. When I asked for a raise to at least match inflation, the boss said he didn't believe in raises unless it was a reward that made the company more money. What pissed me off more was that he claimed to be Christian. I think what a lot of capitalistic bosses in the bible belt do is hide under the guise of Christianity.
Scripture says to give your laborers their wage, and in James 5 about the wealthy: "Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the righteous person. He does not resist you."
